Dave and I were close in age, two years or so apart, so spent a fair bit of time together growing up. One memory is of four of us, Dave and Alun, Michael and me, with Nan in a wheelchair, apple pie in her lap, on our way to ‘Appie Dais’, on Goodrington Sands.
